Signs of Hope| New Cover! | | Posted by Doug on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 10:18pm | Winepress sent me the first draft of the cover of the book, Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World. I have one thing to say at this point: WOW!
It is an amazing first look. It is exactly what I envisioned the cover background would look like. I even have temporary business cards with blue sky and misty clouds on them. I did not show Winepress the cards. They nailed it!!!
I think we are very close on having a great cover. The front cover and back cover sell the book. Got to have a dynamite look on both places.

Doug | | | | | Progress on publishing | | Posted by Doug on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 11:46am | Things are really picking up now. Winepress is doing a fabulous job of putting together a wonderful book.
I just finished my last shoot yesterday for the back cover photo.
I decided to have some fun, and I have put all the photos from the shoots on Facebook, and the response has been incredible. Other writers love to have input on people's books. I had the friends vote on which photo they liked best. I will then send the top three to Winepress and let them match the colors of the book to the colors in the photos.
Exciting time, and I am having fun.

| | | | | I am up and running | | Posted by Doug on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 12:50am | It has been a long ten years of writing, rewriting, cirtique groups, and editing. My dream of getting my book published is now coming true.
I was pretty impatient waiting for God's timing, but His timing is perfect.
Through the years I built a platorm and did some branding. I wasn't ready to move forward until now. God knew that and paced my efforts to this moment.
My book, Signs of Hope: Ways to Survive in an Unfriendly World, will come out at the end of August or early September.
Through conferences; reading tons of writing books, and self growth I have started a new book with co-author Michael Clark of Jacksonville, Florida called, Becoming Famous Before you are Famous. It shares all the things you need to do to build your platform, and have your branding well known.
I will be using this weblog to keep you posted on what is going with the book, and what my schedule may be. I hope you will subscribe and give me feedback as we go on this journey together. | | | |
